Vessel Project

For my project I chose to design my vessel around my wristbands that I have collected over this past summer and previous summers. I chose this because although I did keep all my wristbands on my wrist for a very long time, they became annoying to always have on. So I decided that creating a specific box to hold them would make it easier for me to keep track and not lose them.

The structure of my box is designed as a circle because the wristbands themselves are circular. Originally I was going to put a cylinder in the center of the bottom of the box for my wristbands to fit around but I figured as I collected more the cylinder would not be big enough. On top of my box I decided I wanted

to put the “flower of life”symbol because it forms the basis for music, as the distance between each circle is identical to the distances between the tones and the half tones in music. I thought this to be an appropriate decoration for my box because of the musical relation, not to mention the symbol is very cool looking itself.
