Wayfinding Project

Wayfinding encompasses the information-gathering and decision-making processes people use to orient themselves and navigate through space; simply put, how people get from one location to another.

The situation we chose to address was directing people around the Art and Design building. Specifically getting people around the third floor and to the common shop. The common shop and BDS rooms are sometimes difficult to navigate to especially when you are coming into the building for your first time. Since there really is not any signs directing to these rooms, we decided to put up some signs to help find this useful but difficult to find rooms. Some landmarks we chose to use were the snack shop and the art shop.
